Call for Entries - 37th Bradley International Print and Drawing Exhibition - IL
Deadline: January 11, 2019. The Bradley International Print and Drawing Exhibition is the second-longest running juried print and drawing competition in the country. Every two years it features the best contemporary graphic artwork from around the globe. This year’s exhibition will be held at seven prominent Peoria Illinois Galleries, The Contemporary Art Center of Peoria, Prairie Center of the Arts, Studios on Sheridan, Illinois Central College, Peoria Art Guild, and on campus at Bradley University at Heuser Art Gallery and Hartmann Center Gallery. The 37th Bradley International will be juried by Janet Ballweg. Ballweg is currently a Professor of Creative Arts Excellence and the head of the Printmaking program at Bowling Green State University in northwest Ohio. Three substantial awards will be selected by the juror: 1st Place – $3,000. 2nd Place – $1,750. 3rd Place – $750. Downeast National Juried Sculpture Exhibition - NC
Deadline: January 19, 2019. The Downeast National Juried Sculpture Exhibition is located in Pitt County, North Carolina. The Exhibition has two components: a month long indoor exhibition and a year long outdoor exhibition. 76th Regional Exhibition Call for Entries - NY
Deadline: February 6, 2019. The Arnot Art Museum announces a call for artists for their 76th Regional Exhibition. Artists must be 18 or older and live in Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, or Vermont. Work over five years old or shown before in any Arnot Art Museum exhibition is not eligible. There is a maximum of two entries per artist. Visit https://76thregional.artcall.org to submit your entries. The Arnot Art Museum is a landmark in downtown Elmira, housed in the 1833 neo-classical mansion of John Arnot, Sr. His son, Matthias H. Arnot, added a Picture Gallery in the 1880’s. Matthias Arnot bequeathed his home and collection in 1910 to become the Arnot Art Museum. The Museum displays a permanent collection of seventeenth- to nineteenth-century European paintings, nineteenth- and twentieth-century American art, and collections of Asian and Egyptian artifacts. Temporary exhibitions highlight various aspects of the collections and include works from museums around the world. Open Call for Exhibit Proposals - IN
Deadline: January 14, 2019. Arts Place is currently accepting proposals for 2019- 2020. Located in Portland, Indiana center, which includes a main gallery and two smaller galleries. The regional arts council is seeking innovative proposals from artists in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and Illinois. Proposals for both 2- and 3- dimensional media for solo and/or group shows are welcomed. Arts Place, Inc. is a nonprofit regional arts council that operates three centers in East Central Indiana and West Central Ohio. Arts Place is dedicated to presenting quality exhibitions of both emerging and established artists. Exhibits run for 5-6 weeks. When possible, we will have an opening reception. All exhibits are supported by press and insurance coverage, are free, and open to the public. While works may be for sale, Arts Place puts its emphasis on the artistic quality of the work being presented. Arts Place takes a commission of 30% on works sold in its galleries. Call for Curatorial Projects - MD
Deadline: December 12, 2018. Independent curators or representatives of artist guilds or groups may submit unsolicited curatorial project proposals for exhibitions in the Gibbs Street, Kaplan and/or Common Ground Galleries. The proposal must be a clear, well-written description of the curatorial project including the artists that will be presented in the show. Curators cannot include their own work in the exhibition. Up to five images are required and may include proposed installation drawings. Submissions will be reviewed every December. Please keep in mind that submission does not guarantee acceptance. Exhibition plans are made 2 years in advance. Incomplete submission packages will not be reviewed. OPEN CALL FOR ART: "Everybody Has a Story" - NY
Deadline: December 12, 2018. As a part of the Department of Psychiatry, the Office of Mental Health Promotion (OMHP) aims to provide a new space for local artists to display their artwork while at the same time creating a lovely and therapeutic environment for patients, families, and employees of Strong’s Mental Health and Wellness. Artists are asked to create work that reflects the show theme, Everybody Has a Story. Only 2D mediums will be considered (i.e. works on paper, un-stretched canvas, and masonite). Locked frames are provided in two sizes, 18’’ x 20’’and 20’’x 24’’, preset orientations. Artists must mat artwork to fit designated frame size and orientation. Art will be juried by the Unviersity of Rochester Department of Psychiatry. Deadline: January 15, 2019. The Peninsula School of Art is currently accepting exhibition proposals for 2020 and 2021 in our Guenzel Gallery. Exhibitions of all media will be considered. Exhibitions will be chosen by the Director of Public Programs with support from PenArt’s Gallery Committee. Exhibitions are awarded based on criteria including, relevance to the our educational mission and overall artistic quality.
