Call for Artists: Exhibit Proposals – MT Deadline: December 1st, 2017. FrontierSpace is a unique alternative gallery space dedicated to exhibiting emerging and established contemporary artists in Missoula, Montana. We are accepting solo, two-person, and group exhibition proposals in any medium for spring and summer 2018. The deadline to submit is December 1, 2017. There is a $10 submission fee. While we prefer to look at artist’s websites, we do accept up to 10 JPEG images, no more than 72 DPI, submitted via document sharing link (ex. Google Drive). The Furman University Thompson Art Gallery invites established artists to submit a proposal for solo exhibitions during the 2018-20 academic years. Furman Univiersity is a liberal arts institution located in Greenville, SC. The exhibition space is approximately 900 square feet with solo exhibitions typically running for 4-6 week periods. The gallery committee will consider all media. The university will insure artwork while it is on display in the Thompson Art Gallery. Shipping costs will be the responsibility of the artist. Small stipends available for artists willing to give a gallery talk at a closing or opening reception. A complete proposal file should include: Artist Statement (Word or PDF) labeled with last name. CV (Word or PDF) labeled with last name. 15-20 images presented in Powerpoint or PDF file. Include information (title, size, medium, year) for each image. File name should include last name. Call for Artists: Passages - VA Deadline: November 12, 2017. Target Gallery, contemporary exhibition space of the Torpedo Factory Art Center, invites artists to apply for Passages, a group exhibition that explores the lasting effects migration has on cultural identity from the perspective of first and second generation immigrants from across the global diaspora. This exhibition gives an intimate look into their individual experiences and how these experiences have shaped who they are today. Additionally we welcome proposals from curators to submit proposals for shows. Mission Statement: BridgeMaker Arts serves and enriches community culture, pride and involvement by providing public exposure to art and a means for public participation in creative arts, crafts, and maker fabrication technologies. We welcome proposals from the following genres: painting, photography, sculpture, film/video, installation and performance. Artists may submit proposals for solo, two, or three person shows. 50treats – NY Deadline: November 30th, 2017. We’re holding our most ambitious project to date: 50 artists. 50 states. 1 exhibition. Each artist selected will "takeover" treat gallery’s "@50treats" instagram handle for 7 days, taking one photograph, using only their cell phone, once a day. (7 images total). Jurors will select one image from each artists takeover, and we will have an exhibition of 50 photos, available for sale, at $50 each, (in an edition of 5) in an exhibition in New York City in early 2019. $25 of each sale will benefit the charity or nonprofit designated by the applicant, and $25 will go directly to the artist.
