Offbeat Bijou: Alternative Materials, processes and ideas in jewelry - FL Deadline: November 30, 2018. Florida CraftArt, along with the curators, invites artists who make jewelry using nontraditional methods, materials or concepts to apply for exhibition. In the current age where more materials and methods are available and interchangeable between media, artists have the opportunity to repurpose and reconfigure established techniques. We are looking for examples of contemporary, forward-thinking jewelry in a variety of materials and styles. Deadline: November 16, 2018. The Florida A&M University Foster-Tanner Fine Arts Gallery is accepting submissions for the 8th Annual Pinnacle National Juried Art Competition and Exhibition. There is a $1,000 prize for the Best in Showwinner and cash awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. Selected artists will be featured in the "Pinnacle National Art Exhibition" and catalog. All 2D and 3D mediums are eligible for submission. A distinguished juror will be chosen to select the works for the exhibition as well as the winners. Deadline: January 15, 2019. The Peninsula School of Art is currently accepting exhibition proposals for 2020 and 2021 in our Guenzel Gallery. Exhibitions of all media will be considered. Exhibitions will be chosen by the Director of Public Programs with support from PenArt’s Gallery Committee. Exhibitions are awarded based on criteria including, relevance to the our educational mission and overall artistic quality. Artists, curators, groups, and/or organizers are welcome to apply and will be notified approximately one month after the deadline. No submission materials will be returned. Exhibition Proposals should include: Cover letter including description of proposed exhibition Digital portfolio of 15-20 images, or a single link to a maximum five minute video of current artwork, representative of work proposed for the exhibition. Deadline: November 26, 2018. The Ormond Memorial Art Museum is accepting submissions from artists in a variety of styles and media for exhibitions in late 2018 and 2019.
